I need some help with my cooling fan it only comes on when i turn the car off and turn the heater on. When i start the car it doesn't come on. I change the thermo stat but the car is still over heating I checked all the fuse nothing none are blown. Took the fan out
to make sure it works hooked it up to the battery and it worked so I don't know what else
to do. The fan usually comes on when I turn the ignition on but not any more. So now my
car is over heating and I just got an engine swap. So if anyone have any suggestions please let ASAP please. (Its a 1990 eclispe turbo FWD cyclone engine).

Not exactly sure what is going on with your setup but there is a thermal switch in the bottom of the radiator, it may be malfunctioning. Try replacing it.

ive been having a cooling fan problem too but mine is a little different, about 2-3 times a month the fan would just not come on when its supposed to.( i only got 1 slimline fan wich is on the passenger side cause of fmic setup, dunno if this matters) i hooked up a toggle to it and when it doesnt come on by itself i just flip it on
