Ivegot a stripped bolt holding a carrier in place can i justpull the shafts and install new rack without having to pull engine to tap the one bolt? the caris ready to drive once i get this in and i dont wantbto pull engine to fix one bolt. what are your thoughts.

You shouldnt have to pull the motor. But it would help to have a lift to gain more access to the rack. You will need to take the sway bar off and out of the way. Also take the tie rods off to gain clearence to drop the rack out the bottom.

I haven't personally had eyes on it but he said one of the bolts that holdthe carrier needs to be tapped out. I don't think it's stripped I think the top of the bolt broke off.
