It seems like forever since I have been back on the track but its only been 4 weeks. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up with whats been going ion with the car. Got the new slicks all mounted up and ready to go on the new (to me) Rx7 wheels I got for my racing wheels. Also flipped my practice tires on the other wheels as well. We pull out Friday morning for Louisiana and Round #6 of the Grand Bayou Race Series.
We also took the old ProFrc B-Spec II boost controller out and went with a Hallman Pro MBC instead. Got the alignment and camber/toe all set as well for the upcoming event. My alignment was so bad it wasnt even funny. Im sure that is why I have been eating through tires so easily lately. Hopefully, this will fix that issue. Fresh Red Line Oil 40 wt racing oil, new K&N filter and flushed the coolant system and put it in 2 new bottles of water wetter and the rest is distilled water. Bled the brakes, new tranny fluid and we are almost good to go. Just going to go over the car the next several days, nut and bolt it with the paint pen and start loading things up on Thursday and get ready to head out.
After this event, I am going to be sending the turbo off to Forced Performance to get it ported and a 34mm flapper put on. Encountering a boost spike around 6500 rpms that I do not want or need. I just shift a bit earlier now to get through it for now. once we get it ported and new flapper, car should be pretty well sorted for a while.....Now let me find some wood to knock on after saying that
