I though I'd do an update as I havn't done any write ups in a while.

Things are going good so far this year, I still have the points lead in my class though if the 2 national level cars keep coming that will go away quickly. I'm not too worried about it though, these are very fast purpose built racecars with lots of money invested in them.

My main competition is an 88 crx with about as many bolt-ons as me. He's been about a 1/2 sec a lap faster car than me but circumstances have been in my favor so far this year, thus my lead in points. Recently he made some changes to his car and is almost a full second faster than me, but I hope to hold him off in the points race. I'm going to give it my all!!

It's been trying the past couple weeks though, my exhaust finally decided to fall off so I had to replace it sooner than planned. While the car was on the rack getting the exhaust done I was looking things over and found both front tires were seperating from the belts. I'm guessing the negative camber had finally taken it's toll. Also I notice my clutch slave cylinder is leaking, but this is a cheap easy fix. I'm about due for a timing belt replacement now as well, so I've got my work cut out for me!!

Here's a couple pics from the last scca event:

Keep it up man. And the car looks really good. I'm thinking of painting mine a similar color...:)

What? Another blue car? We'll have to call ourselves the Blues Brothers Racing Team.
Or the Blue Meanies. Or the Smurfs.

Smurfs?? LOL I like the color of the car, it still has the original paint on it just faded somewhat. I'd given some though to the "Electron Blue" from the Corvettes because it's such a bada$$ color, but I don't know how well it would look on my car. For now it stays the way it is.

BTW Rich, this is my second blue Laser, my turbo car I traded for this one was identical in appearance, just missing 100hp under the hood. I had a lot of confused people when I first got this car.

It's excellent to see you're holding your own in the standings... wish I could say the same.

I hope to keep it that way Greg!!

You've had some considerable and very understandable downtime this year, no miracles are expected. Besides, you whooped everyone before with a lot less power, with the new setup they don't stand a chance unless you let them get a small head start!! This way you get to see their faces as you pass them and they say to themselves "did I just get passed by a banana?":rocks:
