You just admitted you lied (ill informed)... You even proved it by showing me a site with twice the mileage you said in your first post...

PLUS, you cant say that you can get a vehicle to get 5 mpg because of the way you drive? Why would any dealership put those type ratings on a car?

And to just top off my point about being able to just say you were wrong in the first place, here ya go.

AND, those arent "beating it" ratings... I bet I could get a Lambo's mpg's down to 1 mpg if I tried too, then when I go to sell it Im going to post the 1 mpg rating... Small print will say at "220 mph".

And the Manufacturers DO lie about fuel use. It has been a HUGE topic in the NEWS. The EPA only Estimates the Fuel use. Its NOT a REAL world estimate. I'm heavy on the pedal...AKA MORE gas.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong and Im right, but to come out and call me a liar is a violation of the website rules. You need to look up the definition of a LIE.
Not to mention 5 and 9 is probably MORE realistic than you think..... In the REAL world

Anyhow, Matt please just stop...i dont want to argue with you about a lambo?!?!? or whatever you're talking about...did you add any info to this thread or are you just here to start E-fights? Just drop it....## right it get 3 more miles to the gallon than I had estimated hahah You're right bro, you're right. The dealer just made that 9 and 12 up...it really gets 100000 miles to the gallon
 
Getting out of the game for a little bit as I have more important things to attend to. I gotta admit that I damn near cried last night when I saw my car being driven by someone else and the BOV whistled so nice as he left. I walked to my apt feeling like shit. So much MONEY, hard work, blood, sweat and tears.:cry::cry: I took this car from nothing to something. Everybody that came to see the car loved it, some didn't have the cash but wished they did. I proved to myself that I could bring a vision to reality. *sigh* I'll get another one, trust me. :cry::cry::cry::cry:

Im sure there is a plan for something. And im sure it is awd. Like everybody else is saying, you will be back sooner than later. We all do.
 
When you come back, get an AWD hehe. :D Yeah it's pretty depressing when you see a car with your time and labor drive away after a sale. Good luck and hope to see ya around man.
 
Hello Socal Tuners,

This year is almost over and normally each year I would buy a few mods for my special dsm.

However, this year will be different. No new mods for my ride or out of the country trips. This time I've decided to do something different and big. I've decided to take that next step in a dsm'ers life. Below is an example of what my new ride looks like (picture borrowed from other forum).

I have yet to take pictures of her because my cameras down and the car needs to be waxed. It's a 2006 Graphite Grey Evo IX MR/SE with about 13k miles to the odometer. Currently bone stock with no future mods in mind (i now have to watch what i spend).

I will still be hanging around here from time to time when time permits (especially when it comes to classified section...ROFL). Anyhow, I just want to shout out to all dsm'ers that I've meet and befriended and say thank you for all your help and support. It was a blast doing canyon runs, simple in-house meets (at Andy's), and dyno runs :rocks:.

If you see a Grey Evo IX MR/SE with a bald headed driver, honk! I will surely wave and honk back.:thumb:

I still have my Eclipse and have no plans of letting her go. Still love my dsm. Even after all the love and hate relationship we shared.:thumb:
 
Ok, this isn't your typical I'm done with DSMs thread. I'm not frustrated, nothing is broken, nor am I bleeding or stranded in an unknown location by my DSM.

I happly part with my 2G marking an end to my three year endevour (see what I did there?) with Mitsubishi. I've learned tons. It's time to let this one go. I don't have the resources for her anymore. In all honesty, she's been the most horrific, expensive car that I've ever owned. Noises that I heard while driving her shall plague my dreams for years to come. This is my third and final Mitsubishi for the foreseeable future. I know leave you with an anthology of my work as well as many pictures.

After reading some of the wording, I'm hoping you aren't selling it to someone as issue free on our local hangout. ;)
 
This would be before I replaced the turbo, fixed tons of leaks, and discontinued running the turbo on 25 psi on the stock sidemount. Starts right up now.
