I am thinking about doing a whole 3in down pipe with no cat but its my daily driver and I don't want it to loud I want it quiet but aggressive at the same time if anyone one gots and suggestions let me know I would greatly appreciate it :hellyeah:
2g gsx btw

Cherrybomb Vortex, multiple resonators, unless you want 500HP you dont NEED 3in but it doesn't hurt. my 2G GSX is 2.5" the whole way with two resonators [16" and 19" i think] with the cherrybomb vortex and flows amazing with a deep rumble sound. not super quiet, not not ricey AT ALL. that's my two cents. cherrio.

You can use a bullet style muffler, such as Dynamax, or I highly recommend Moroso spiral flow. They are both low tone, the Moroso more than the other, and get less loud at WOT than others that I have used.

You could always get a muffler, a resonator or two, and use a downpipe with an electric cutout. I use a Needswings one, with no cat. Super quiet with the OEM mid and rear pipes, and SUPER loud with the plate open. It also allows the manifold to breathe better.

ISn't "quiet" relative? I have 2.25 from the turbo to 2.5 rest of the way which sounds great with my cams. But it has a deep, deep tone which makes the sound travel even though it isn't that "loud."

Don't think you would be dissapointed with any mentioned here but N1 is one of the old favorites. Also it used to come with a (not so easy to remove) removable silencer.

If you had a GS-T I would say Tanabe. I have no idea why they don't offer a GSX exhaust system (If they do I haven't seen one) but I love the way it sounds on my VR4. It is quiet with a low tone but at WOT it gets deeper and naturally louder. I'm running the a test pipe and honestly it almost sounds stock... Just meaner.

Other wise I've heard alot of good things about this one.

It's the one I'm planning on getting for the GSX.

I once rigged an AMG oval muffler onto my TSi... really liked the sound of it. Just used the stock exhaust and a test pipe.

Thanks man,
I am joining the AWD crowd soon so I will be selling it.
Sure am going to miss it.

I'm not exactly sure what you consider loud, but I have the SRS catback with a punishment downpipe and I would not consider it to be loud. It is very deep and sounds awesome. I had my friend do a few drive aways and pulls while I was outside and listened and it was not loud, but had an awesome tone.

Dude, seriously. Mine was like pounded in there. Most frustrating part of my exhaust install no joke.

I love the sound of the N1 though. It is really not too loud but my friends can hear me a few blocks down. It must carry.

How'd you get the silencer out? Just tugged on it? I just installed an Espelir JGT500 on mine and that sucker doesn't want to come out either. I figured they coated it in jb weld or somthing LOL

The Espelir with unknown downpipe and o2 housing with the silencer in is extremely quiet yet still noticeable. Fitment was spot on also :hellyeah:

thanks for the post i got some great ideas and options now at the beginning i didnt even know what the hell to get so thanks and i will see if i can post up a video of the choice i get soon:thumb:

The trick was pulling equally on all sides at once. If I tugged it on one side at a time it would not budge.

Eventually, getting it out involved a lot of fishing line, two dirty socks, burnt paper, a rabbit and two strippers... Long story short: Just do what you have to do until it's out of there.
