Quiet 3" Exhaust Newbie Style

Well I really wanted to post in this thread...

But I'm still stuck here in the Newbie section.

Right now I have a 3" exhaust from front to back. No cat, or resonators and an Apexi Muffler. I'm really disliking the sound. After reading the thread I linked to

I'm thinking of going with this muffler...

And just cutting them into my piping on the car now. I know the thread above uses two mufflers to get it quieter but does anyone think this setup will work the same and give the same results. I want it quiet again but still able to make power.

I would say that this setup would be alot quieter than what you are using right now. Would it be as quiet as having two mufflers? Probably not, but it will be considerably quieter and most likely get you where you want to be as far as noise levels are concerned. It also should not hurt your flow/power in any way so you should be ok there as well.

The 5" magnaflow resonator really did the difference, the vibrant muffler eliminated the drone. I have two other smaller resonators that came with the xs exhaust, but I want to replace them with 1 longer louvered type resonator whenever I have more money. A louvered resonator is much quieter than a perforated, but it restricts like 5% flow I believe.

After upgrading to an evo 16g, the tone got much deeper, not sure if it is the turbo or the fuel system that I installed with it, but it sounds nice and aggressive, maybe a tad bit louder.
