Quick question about oil PSI.......

I am in the process of installing a oil feed line (like what RRE sells), from the oil filter. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of pressure runs through there?

It sould be the normal oil pressure you see on your gage. That is the reason for moving the feed line to the oil filer housing to increase oil flow to the turbo bearings.

Definitly not. Balance shafts eliminated? That makes a huge difference in oil pressure.

I am installing a 14B on my 2G and I'm using the same kit that RRE sells to run from the filter housing. The oil there is cleaner and from what I understand, it has higher pressure there as apposed to the head. That's why I was curious to know what the pressure was there. I dont have a numbered gauge..... if I did, I wouldnt be asking.

I dont not have my balanced shafts removed.....

Do you guys know an approximately oil pressure at that point??

That 62 psi was just a guess most likely. What is the psi at 7000 rpm 200?? :thumbdown

On a cold start I can as much as 6.5 kg/cm squared ..or 92 psi but it goes down to around 56 psi when it's warm and running at speed and then down to 14 psi at idle.

I'm hitting 100 around 5k. If you have oil pressure, you're fine. If you don't, you're ####ed. It's a pretty simple process of elimination
