quick auto tranny questions

Can a 2g dsm be shifted from park to neutral with no battery? What about with no ecu? Also, will it shift from park to neutral if the parking brake is up?

If the answer is YES to all 3 questions then I have a problem.

An auto tranny DSM, or almost any auto car for that matter, will shift from park to neutral when the key is in the on position and the brake is depressed. it is a mechanical linkage, not electrical. So no battery or no ecu wont affect it, neither will the parking brake. Hope this helps
