I can get a 14b as a spare turbo for cheap. The catch is its apart, that's not really an issue to me as their easy to assemble. I noticed that the nut and compressor wheel are scribed to keep them as they were balanced but the turbine shaft isn't scribed to the nut and compressor wheel.
Is this an issue? I read that grins on the nut means assembly balanced so would that mean the nut and wheel not aligned to the shaft would cause issues..thanks

If your turbo has a 11mm right hand threaded nut I believe it should be component balanced. Justin (JusMX141) is the person to go to with turbo questions, you should shoot him a PM.

It has the 10mm nut..normal threaded not reverse. I read that the 10mm setup is not component balanced so I was worried that it may have issues even with the nut and wheel correctly aligned to each other but not the shaft also.
