Questions While Installing New Clutch

Just wondering what kinda things I can get rid of since I've got my car apart for my clutch swap. Like extra things I wouldn't need and that I can do relatively easy without having to spend a lot of money. Such as can I remove this? and What does that plug go to and do I need it? Thanks, Chris.

The first pic, seems to be the evap canister, its used for emissions, if you remove it, you might not pass the smog test, but it depends on the state i guess. Use the search button and type emission removal, and it will guide you through the steps, as well as checking the tech guides, which im sure it has the guide taboo designed years ago to remove emissions. The second pic, shows what looks to me the grounding connector for setting timing/idle, what you see there is just a little dust cover, you can remove it and take a look inside you will see a little pin that you can connect to ground with a crimping connector, to set idle, i would suggest that you keep that little cover on though.
