Edmonton,
Hey guys,

I Installed my new afpr, and my new 255 pump in the last couple days and got everything running last night. Now I id everything properly I believe, but I just had a couple questions.

1. I used weather proof shrink tubing on the fuel pump where I had to solder. Will the gasoline eat away the gunk that comes out of the weather proof shrink tubing. And in turn, will this create a short and cause a problem. I really don't want to be driving my car down the highway and then have it randomly combust or set on fire because the shrink tubing I used did not seal properly.

2. When I rev my car now if I go up to about 3000 rpm then let it drop and quickly rev right after oh say about 2000 my car has a little hick up. Is this just the new fuel pump or what?

Questions, comments, and answers appreciated.
John

not sure what weather proof shrink tubing is... but gasoline can disolve certain rubbers and plastics, just not most. Not sure about clear heat shrink tubing, but the black and color tubing should be fine

Gasoline does not conduct electricity (like water does), so as long as there is no possibility for direct positive to negative contact, you'll be fine

Hey guys,
Yeah should have been more specific. I set base fuel pressure to the proper amount without vaccum. It just has this weird hickup. for some reason. Any ideas?

might need to do a re-Wire on the Pump if u havent cause i get the same thing and i think i might try that on mine and see if it fixes the prob.
