Questions Bout Buying A Car

Looking at gettin a 90 Talon TSI.
It's a 300 dollar car sitting on the back of someones lot. I am looking at buying it as a project as I already have a 2001 Altima that I drive daily. Anyone tell me any common problems or common things to look for on these cars as to I don't know much about them yet.

I would try to find out if it runs. At that price, something major is probably missing/broken.
