Questions about vacuume line removal and intake install

I'm refering to http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198327 when i talk about removing the vacume lines. Please answer by #

1. I want to install a KandN/2gmas/intake pipe on my car. I look at intake pipes, and they only have 1 inlet tube (BOV).
Do i have to do this vacume line removal (link above) to install an aftermarket intake pipe or are there other options?

2. What are the negetive and positive consequences of removing vacume lines?

3. How much does gas milage really improve with EGR as opposed to blocking it off?

1. Yes, you have to remove those shown on the diagram, they are unnecessary, and I dont believe any aftermarket intake utilizes vacuum lines.

2. Negative, you'll just have a tougher time passing emissions, and as for positive, Im not too sure, so I dont want to give you an answer, maybe someone else can help you here.

3.Not much, if any at all.

Is there any way to run a MBC without having to take all lines out?

I need a catch can for the vc breether, and i need to do something with the line coming from the charcoal canister. What does this canister do anyways? What should i do to this line? I've heard of some people removing the canister all together. What affects does this have?
