questions about camber kit here

I've just been learning myself on such as these here:

as far as I've learned this is to allow you to adjust camber so I'm thinking 'great, but how has this car's alignment been done in the past, if at all?' so what exactly is the purpose of this? things are taken apart so now's the time to do something like this. thanks guys/gals

You shouldn't need these unless your car is lowered more than 2". The purpose for it is to adjust the angle which in turn changes your camber.

thanks much. i get it. youd have to turn the tops of them out right? so how is alignment done on this car?

What lowering springs and struts do you have? Or plan on getting? From what I seen alot my friends have 1g's lowered and they don't have as bad camber as 2g's can get from my understanding. None of them have camber kits and say there wear is very minimal. I would just start by getting an alignment and seeing how in spec your camber is before adding anything else.

hadnt thought about any of that too much yet. but i know ill be interested down the road. i suppose theyd be easy enough to install when i cross that bridge.

so... would a shop install these if they were to adjust your camber or what?

It's only nuts and bolts. I swear my legos where harder to put together.

In most cases yes they will just throw them in for you. It should only take them a whopping 1 minute a piece for them to install them. Some shops are different though and it's very simple to install them yourself. Most cases like stated above unless your running coil overs and your drop is more than 2 inches you should be good to go and wont need them unless your picky like me

i guess then that I'm just confused about how often alignments need to be done because as far as I can remember I've always needed periodic alignments
