haha thanks guys!
I am doing the timing on my 2g, but the only problem i am having is that i can not get the crankshaft pully to pop off. i took the 4 bolts out, and from the way the vfac pics look the large 1/2" center nut looks like it stays on there, and the pully comes off over it.

Does anyone know a trick or something to getting those darn things off?
i know i am missing some kind of trick here, but my brain is racked and i need some help! thanks guys

If its the first time you have taken it off, use a rubber mallet or a normal hammer and a peice of wood and hit the top of the pulley then the bottom a couple times. It will slide right off.

PB'blaster will also help.

yup...just don't use a regular hammer directly on it and chip it. it will throw off the balance.

thanks guys! i will try it out and let ya know!

ok guys i got it off of there i had the wrong kind of puller went and got a different puller and it popped right off for future reference i used the 5 ton pulley puller from orileys auto parts cost like 45 bucks

Did you take the driver side engine mount off and lower the engine down so it will clear the chassis, because all it takes to take the actually pulley off is just the 4 bolts.

that is odd. i take out my 4 bolts and the pulley pretty much jumps out at me...

Not this one I had to put the puller on it, came off real good with that though.

I apologize guys, I have the engine out of the car did a little bit of a revamp on it, :ohdamn: , but it is already back together, and i am just waiting on a stupid clutch alignment tool, then it will be going back in.
keep your fingers crossed this has been a long enough project for me, I am just sick of both of my cars already.
