Alright I posted this on DSM talk a little while back but did'nt get many answers. Right now my car is setup with a 14b turbo which is about to die. So i bought a t28 a couple of weeks ago (because i got a good deal on it) and have not installed it yet because my car got hit two days after i got the turbo. Since my car is setup with the 14b turbo are a new oil return line and licp going to be the only things i need to do the install? Also is there anyone willing to sell me either or both of these things because right now i'm strapped for money and am tryin to save a little cash. If not where would be the cheapest place to get one because as of right now the cheapest place i have found a oil return line was for $60 and that seems a bit steep. Last thing i'm wondering is how long did it take you guys to do an install of one of these? I have never installed a turbo before so i'm kinda just wondering what i'm in for. Thanks for any help

I don't know anything about turbo's and what you would need, but as for getting the parts cheap, I would check out ebay. Even if you don't find what you want, most of the people with the auctions are parting out cars, so if you just emailed them and asked them for the specific thing you wanted, most of them will happily sell you what you want for next to nothing.

When the 14b was installed did they use the 2g water lines and reverse them or did they use the 1g ones?

At most you will need:

2g water lines
2g oil lines (feed and drain)

If they used a J-pipe, that connected to your stock(or upgraded) 2g LICP so you won't need one of those.

Well i'm glad there is a J-pipe so that will save me some money, Now I have a SS braided oil feed line and is there any way to make the Oil return line off a 14b fit?

If you have a 14b turbo on your car now, why not just upgrade to a 16g for like 3-400?? The only reason I see to upgrade a DSM with a t-28 turbo is because of the direct bolt up issue, but because you already have a mitsu turbo on your 2g, a 16g would bolt up with EXACTLY the same oil/coolant lines you have on there now. If you could do it yourself, it would be a quick and easy job and yield alot more power. If the t-28 is in good condition, I'd bet you could sell it for around 500 or so and with that, you could buy a brand new 16g.

yeah i knew that was goin to come up, but i got a good deal on the t28 plus i'm not lookin for tons of power just a little more on the street to mess around with people. And right now i just want a turbo that actually works, next summer i'll upgrade to something bigger when i have the money for more supporting mods.
