Hey guys, I hope there hasn't been a post already about this. I did a search and found nada. My 2G GS-T is losing oil around the head gasket so I've decided to swap a 1G head while installing a cometic gasket. Originally, I hadn't planned on doing the swap so I was going to put a new gasket along with some ARP head studs and be done with it. My question is...will the ARP head studs (originally intended for the 2G head) fit the 1G head without any kind or work? Or will I need to get 1G studs? I'd appreciate the help.

They'll fit. 7 bolt studs are 1mm where 6 bolt studs are 12mm. You have to use the ones for your block.

I think he meant 7 bolt are 11mm ... 6 bolt are 12mm. Anyways nothing needs to be enlarged or anything and you HAVE to use those studs since 6 bolt studs won't thread into a 7 bolt block.

So just to confirm then...the 2G ARP head studs will work with the 1G head since I'm bolting it to the 2G block? Thanks again.

Correct. Studs have to match the block. BTW, check PM.
