What part of the handling are you not happy with?

compare to the cars i've driven, even my old ass 89 corolla, i can usually speed around ramps @ same speed like on my gst with no problems. With my gstspyder you can feel the car is not completely stable/on the ground, it squeeks like a mofo and feels like its going to spin or flip.
One more thing i hate most about the gst spyder is the blind spot when you are backing up.

Is a spyder a convertible? Convertibles and sunroofs are not good additions (subtractions) for body stiffness.

Well lets see i have a 97 spyder and racing a SRt/4 on the back roads i had him on the long streches, but when it comes to conoring i did mild Okay. I Drifted to much on one turn and my car was 1/2 off the road only hit one of them white plastic markers noprob.

All in all its an Okay handler not the Best. and thats a turthfull answer. my POS CRX si i had now that hadle like a gocart and was bad ass in the back road but it had no go slow as a goat.

First rule for handling: don't start with a convertible unless it is a full tube frame or composite monocoqe.

For stabilizer bars (some call them sway bars  ) to work, a chassis must be torsionally rigid. A windsheild IS a structural member, as well as a roof. until of course you cut the top off. When the top is cut off, the windshield becomes a large vibrating mass; for which lots of dead mass is added in the a-pillars & across the top to keep it from vibrating.

You need a structural roof if you want a lightweight, balanced (neutral steer) vehicle which allows the suspension to deflect over bumps (instead of the body winding up).

i just have some koni reds on my 98 gsx and i like it a lot.. it is above average for street driving.. as for road course handling.. i wish i knew, one day ill make it to an autox at tire rack and experience it.
