well today i figured out that my tranny passing out on me,something is slipping inside of it.I dunno what could cause this problem ,i mean slippage inside the tranny. Any ideas? and i gave the car t oa good mechanics,is it worth to let them rebuild it if something wrong or should i go with a good ,experienced tranny guys like shep?

what do you mean when you say the tranny is slipping? what is the tranny a A/T or M/T ?
what did the mechanic say it was? where do you take the car to get the tranny checked?

its a manual, amd thats what i mean that the tranny is slipping, because it feels like the clutch slipping but its kinda different, loosing power on high speed, like im doing 60 or more and trying to do WOT and no power what so ever, the rpm gauge goes up with the speedometer gauge ,so im sure the clutch is not slipping, its something wrong with the tranny,i took the car to my local mechanics. grandprixworx

I dont think a tranny can slip? If one ever did it would the loudest thing ever. If you have the pedal to the floor and rpm is going up but your not going any faster then I would say your clutch would be slipping.

You having trouble getting from 0-60mph? Does it do the "slip" thing right after putting it into 3rd? 4th? Need more info. Like others have said, it can be your clutch. So did the shop just drive it? They take it apart? Could be a clutch engagement issue at high rpms. If it is the tranny though, don't forget to shop around.

A tranny CAN do that. It did it to me last year. It was a couple of shot gears (according to TRE). I had put a new clutch/flywheel, pivot ball, fork, you name it. It would slip from 0mph on. It sucked bad. It took me about 30 seconds to get up to 40. I felt like I was in a Honda! Next stage 2 TRE tranny fixed it. :thumb:

the guys told me that its not a tranny for sure, they took it a part and everything was perfect,so they told it could be an ignition timing or a belt broke off of the balance shaft, they would check it out tomorrow but i what the heck does ignition timing and balance shaft belt has to do with that? i got an urethane engine mounts, and the car while driving shakes so damn bad,i mean really bad it feels like my tooth will fell out of my mouth. They took a look at my clutch to but they didnt find a problem what else could it cause a power loss on high rmps? im loosing power in every gear when i do a WOT,it doesnt do from a 0,it starts doing this when im over 30 in 1st gear, 45 in second 60 at third, 70 at fourth gear and 5th all the way to the end which is 140 ,clutch cant be burnt cause all gears are shifting perfectly and there is no smell for a burned clutch what so ever

P.S. when i accelerate slowly, the car catches up the speed, but as soon as i do WOT boom no power, the car making noice but not going anywhere, the car doesnt bog,i do kinda have a blue smoke as soon as i start my engine but i dunno what is the reason of that

If you are loosing power, did you check for boost leaks? Maybe you just have a bad TPS sensor. Make sure you maft is plugged in? This sounds like a tough problem. Let me know what the shop says.
