First off if i was supposed to post this in another forum it wont let me for some resonem, but any way i just got a completely rebuilt 91 tsi talon . i have no idea about turbo setups i am used to v8s but i fell in love with dsm's but it came with small 16g i dont know wether it has external wastegate or nothing yet its still at dudes house but i paid him and its all done i just couldnt get any one to drive me there and folow me home yet. but i am picking it up sat. on a flat bed cause it needs tuned and timed it has stock ecu and injectors its all put together timing isint perfect, it has greddy turbo timer, and thats about all i know. i have heard of cars having fuel air mixture controlers, boost controlers, and dsm link like just to get it drivable do i have to get it on a dyno just to be able to drive it?? he said it just needed tuned and didnt need any other parts but do i need a boost controler what am i missing. like i said stock ecu and injectors and i think maf. please any input will be highly appreciated. :)

small 16g turbo. but its bored a little and has that magneus intake and stuff 3" down pipe to 2.5 borla.

Dyno Numbers Small 16g

Just check out other members profiles and see what they are running part wise and boost. Remember, you are only on stock injectors and 16g WITHOUT a tune. You aren't going to be much more over stock. You get gains after tuning your parts together and adding more fuel to flow more air.

This is the best I can do for you and remember that bench racing is not allowed in the forum. Just cant ask "what times/HP will I make with x parts" as everyone will say a different response or start fighting. Best way to find out what your parts will do is goto a dyno to get an actual number and post it on the board for others to see. :thumb:

Like people say dont go over 15 psi i dont know weather they run at 5 or 20 stock but if they run at 5 and i can go up to 15 maybe i would be faster then stock was all i was wondering wasnt bench racing. it is close to stock but was not sure of what they ran psi wise. my bad but i will look up people's setups for sure.

After 15 psi the injectors won't be able to supply the correct amount of fuel for the supplied air and you will go lean and hit fuel cut. Also if you are on a T-25, after 15psi you are going out of the efficency range of that turbo and just blowing hot air then.

Stock with the BCS you will run around 12ish psi and adding a MBC you can raise it to 15psi. Even with the added air from the 16g you have, you will be a little over stock HP levels but not much as you can't do anything with the turbo. You are limited by fuel and tuning.
