Holset hx35w
44mm no name wastegate 12 psi
custom turbo manifold
3" downpipe
3" exhaust
2.5" intercooler piping
25"x10"x4" intercooler double back door

safc 1
550cc lucas injectors
arp headstuds
walbrow 255lph hp
fuel pump rewire
stock clutch for now but i hope it will hold for like 2 months then act 2600

Will i be ok with what i have for injectors, safc, i have a wideband and will try to une as best as i can with the safc?. just trying to get some answers...

Running a turbo that flows upwards of 50-60 lbs/min is a waste at 12psi. I would recommend that you start off with some 650 injectors and an EVO III if you want to get have a fast and enjoyable street car. I would also recommend better tuning than an AFC. An EPROM ECU with a KeyDiver chip or DSM Link would be much better. The beauty of the EVO III is that you can still run it on an internal gate and not have to spend the extra money on an external.

Other people will have different opinions, but that Holset is suited more to a setup with 950cc or larger injectors and proper fuel management.

Just my .02,

well i have a motor being buit right now and it will be done when i get some more parts. So for now i want to get the turbo set up built because i still have to run the stock motor for like 1-2 months.so will this get me by till the motor is done?

It'll get you by, but keep the boost low (as you planned) and make sure that when you turn it up, you have DSM Link or an EPROM ECU to control those larger injectors. I would recommend 950's or larger since the EPROM or Link will make them run like stockers. I would also strongly recommend an AFPR for your 255 HP unless you simply missed listing it. Oh and get a real external wastegate and not a no name POS that might not work and overboost the motor.

Good luck with your build,

Andy

So i have a eprom ecu stock and would like to know what a keydriver chip is? I know what dsm link is but to expencive as i'm rebuilding the motor right now.

edit: i was also thinking of running a gm 3" mas and maf-t?...does this sound good for the build?

Sure the 3" MAF/T setup will allow for some nice flow. You can find more info on the chips here:

http://www.dsmchips.com

The beauty of the chip is that you can compensate for the injectors and add a host of other features for a moderate price. The good stuff comes about when you configure custom A/F and timing tables and run without a piggyback. My setup is like this and it works like a champ. When you're ready to spec your motor and complete the build, let me know and I'll get on the phone with you and dial in your complete setup. Once I send you the specs, you pass them along to Jeff at DSM Chips and he'll send you your finished chip.

In the absence of being able to run DSM Link, this is the next best thing. Let me know when you're ready.
