Question about trannys

I bought a daily driver and it needs a tranny. I went to the local salvage yard and found a 1990 4g63 n/a tranny in great shape for 150 bucks. Will this work with my 4g63 turbo motor. This car will just be a daily driver so no mods will be added.

Not if you car is AWD.

No this is for my daily driver, it is a 90 gst.

It *will* work. But the gear ratios are different in the NT tranny and you will need the matching flywheel and clutch. Here is a thread that explains it all.

talk to n/t moderator mavisky because he is the one who did that, and he told me not too far down the line he destroyed the tranny, and said the n/t tranny isnt going to last long if you like to upgrade, and get on your car. I dont thnik it would be a good investment because it seems as it will go out in short order...
I would just try to find another gst tranny and hope its any good...
If it is your daily driver and you do purchase it then you better be very careful not to break that tranny then.... good luck.
