question about tires+speed

I was just wondering how fast you can safely go with H rated tires. I know that the speed of our cars is limited at like 145mph, but I dont want to risk getting a blow out on one of my tires. Some people told me not to go over 120mph with H rated tires, so that has been the fastest ive gone so far. So yeah, whats the fastest I can safely go without risking a blow out?

H rated tires are rated for 130mph .. I suggest not going over that unless you want to risk your life.

i like to go 160 on a daily basis not in my dsm mind u

Just to be safe stay 10 miles an hour or more below the speed rating. loosing the tread on a tire at 120+ isn't fun at all.

You can pick yourself up a good set of khumo z rated tires or the new FUSION ZRI w rated tires. I just got a set of the fusions and have never been happier with the grip and a speed rating of like 160+

IMHO the fusions are probably the best tires you can get for any reasonable ammount of money. I even like them better than the potenzas and such I have rolled on.

Any tire can fail at any time. Especially if there's something you hit, or a roofing nail you didn't realize you'd been carrying for the last thousand miles.

But it's your life. Make sure your survivors know we'll want to buy some parts no matter what.

i know kids that have done 120 on a donut, with his pontiac 3000, i think its more or less the tire that you happen to get!
