Hello , i took the broken engine out , bought a new one.

I want to know if i have anythink to know before reinstalling the other one ?

I used the old alternator and capdistributor , old injectors , old spyplug. I bolted the motor suport and i think im ready to bolt that back in. The block has old oil in it. Do i need to change it ? and what about the wires and osses if i dont remember them all , anywhere i can know where they go ?

thank-you for your help.

You should always change out fluids if you don't know the condition, especially in this case. I would replace any seals that are easily accessible now (since the motor is out) just in case they are going to/or have leaked already.

What happened with the other motor?

Change the throw out bearing, and axle seals on the trans while its out. Also new gaskets that are easy to change like turbo, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, valve cover, and change all fluids forsure. Possibly change clutch, and have the flywheel resurfaced or buy a light weight one.

the guy told me the water pump was just done , and what about timing belt ?
tenshener just done too suposly , how can i know if what he said was real ?

You cant unless he has receipts. I guesse you could look them over and see if there clean.. A water pump isnt to expensive to replace. And its easy to replace. Timing isn't anything to guess at. If your comfortable with it, that would be all that matters. But a oem timing kit would run around 250, and the cost of an engine is more.

I guess you could look it over, and judge by how clean it is. But even then if he was running timing covers that can keep stuff fairly clean. Measure the tensioner clearances. Other than that its really just his word if you have no receipts or photos.

There may be a trick, if so, Id like to know as well.

You're probably eager to put that motor back in the bay and your rubber back on the road however, think about this replace nothing or the bare minimum and have to possibly pull the motor again or take a few more days / week or so buying all of the gaskets, new belts, fluids, seals, silicone hoses etc while you have direct access to it all and it'll pay of later plus you'll have a more clear assesment should something happen immediately after or later on down the road because you replaced this, that and the third and you know you did this and that etc... just my 0.02 for the thread.
