has anyone else pulled out there passenger air bag to turn it into a compartment? if so what did you use for hinges? ive been looking and tryed a few different ways yet nothing will work right, is there a kit or something i can buy to make it easier or do i just need to keep trying different mounting hinges ect?

thanks

Someone else from lusby md...

Anyways. I use the excuse, "1g's didnt have airbags, why do I need em?"
I'm sure you can find some hinges that will work from a local hardware store. I will take some pics of mine in the next couple of weeks after I do it.

Well, you'd want a 4-point scissors hinge, and hydraulic operation with a pressure switch to open and close it. And, it should make a good, but not loud brrzzzznnndddt sound when it activates.

Seatbelts obviate facebombs.
