if i was to get a new intake pipe, a gm maf, and a translator, would i see any gains? i run on the stock turbo and fuel system, but i do plan on upgrading in the future. my ultimate setup would consist of an evo b16g, a fmic with short route pipes and a blow thru setup, as well as all the supporting fuel mods. right now i am trying to build my system in little ways and i wanted to know if the 3 inch gm maf and the translator would help.

You will see some gains in power and spoolup. It won't really shine until you get that 16G and a fuel system when you can start to utilize it's tuning features

i know i shouldnt ask this, but i will just because im curious. is there a ball park figure on the kinda horsepower gains i should see? also will it improve my track times at all? i ask this cause we just put a bigger maf and a ported throttle body on my friend's ls1 and it gave a big noticeable difference. (this also happens to be where i will be obtaining my gm maf.... hehe)

edit...
bench racing isnt my thing, i was just curious if anyone had any data on this since i didnt find any when i searched.

you better change that last post...these guys here will eat you alive for "bench racing".

Can't really give you a ballpark figure since I haven't, nor do I know of anyone who did before/after dynos with the MAF. I can say that it should be a noticeable increase in power though

dont worry too much about the hp numbers, its the flow that will show the difference and how fast spool and response will be. doing that mod now is like putting a 3 inch exhaust on, the difference you see on the stock turbo will be far less then on a bigger turbo. basically, itll be something youll be doing now that you wont have to do later. good luck
