Question about data logger

Ok I have a 1g data logger.
My brother just got a 95 talon tsi with 6 bolt swap. I wanted to know it my logger would work in his car? Or would we have to get the software for a 2g?

The ecu in your 2g car is different than the 1g cars ecu. You will need new software to run it on a different car.

And a new cable. The 1G is a OBD 1 ECU and uses a simple serial interface but the 2Gs are OBD 2 and use a different type of serial interface that isn't compatible with the current logger.
