Question about air/fuel meter

I've just installed air/fuel meter. It going like crazy from lean to rich to lean etc. What's wrong ? Or maybe it is ok

It cycles around until you got WOT and then it should stay steady.

I've got a blinky blink gauge too. It impresses the ladies though!

The gauge is doing exactly what its supposed to do. it will cycle unless its at WOT, in which case it goes to close looped mode and 'tells' you what you're running.

I've heard a lot of criticism about the A/F meters and was curious if all the criticism is directed mostly to those pieces of crap that say "rich" and "lean" and have a few LED's that light up in between with no indication of the actual reading? I would like to purchase the rest of the set of Defi D-series guages as they match stock exactly (day and night, check my gallery) and are very accurate. Their gauge isn't like the one previously described but is like this:

This seems to actually indicate your mix and seems more useful than those "light shows" that you guys are always raggin' on. Is there something I'm missing about the way these guages function? I also plan on getting the EGT and FP guages.

First you'll need much more of an O2 sensor than is on the DSM setups. The stock O2 is almost binary.
