question about a problem with a car imay buy

just found a dsm local im thinkin bout buying for a winter beater the car is auto and heres what he says is wrong

91 is AWD auto full power it runs but only on 3 cylinders when u plug in the 4th injector it stalls it out the computer is new but i was told it is the wrong one so i just have to return it to get the right one which i will do when the car gets here just have to take the wrong one out first

any ideas on what is wrong? is it just a ecu?

whats numbers on the ECU? it sounds more like it shorting out somewhere.

It could be plugs, coil pack, fuel delivery issue, bad ecu (maybe he got a 90 ecu) so start with those. A compression test can help narrow it down too.
