Okay ive got all the bolts undone and all the wires unplugged i believe. Im trying to get the thing out right now and its acting like its stuck on something on the right side looking from the drivers side of the car. Is there another wire or something on the back of the pack that should come undone?? If so how do I get to it b/c i can't see if as of now? Thanks

Okay, where is the 4th bolt at?? Is it the one that is on the inside wall of the intake mani?? The damn manual didnt say crap about that one

Okay thanks, that wasn't in my manual. Got it in and the car runs fine now except for the exhaust smoking really bad now  If its not one thing its another.

Anyone know how harmful it would be for me to drive my car like it is now with the white smoke coming from the exhaust?? Would it just be best to leave it parked like it is right now?

Yeah I just replaced that coil pack, plugs, and plug wires. When trying to get to the coil pack I did take out two bolts hold two lines up that run inbetween the intake mani and valve covers, tightened them up real good when I put them back though. Thats the only thing that could possibly involve the head that Ive done.

No I didnt lose any bolts so thats not the problem. Assuming (i know what they say) it is a head gasket how unhealty is it to drive with the car smoking some from the exhaust?
Im just wanting to know if I could make it worse by driving.

Mom is picking me up the gauge as I type. It should be here within a few hours and then I'll let ya know. Should I do dry and wet or just the dry?

Do the dry compression test first, and if the numbers are substantualy lower than 164 psi then do a wet test (cap full of oil in each cylinder) If numbers scryrocket then you know you have bad rings.

Compression Test results are in:

Cylinder #1 #2 #3 #4

Dry 130 125 164 (heard loud pop) 170 (heard pop agian)

Wet 170 180 215 (pop again) 210 (sprayed oil so i quit)

These don't look very good at all. :(

Looks like your in the same boat as me i have 130-135 across on all 4 and when wet i get 170 + Time to pull the head. Im gonna put on a rebuilt head, hone the cylinders and put in new rings and rod bearings, arp head studs and a new hg and button her up. Good luck

How many miles on yours? Mines only got 91,000 :notgood:

I've only got 97k on mine :(. How long do you think I can run on this head? If I run on it long will it mess up the block?

Okay, thats a relief. ONE LAST question though, how can I tell whether im mixing coolant and oil? Sorry I'm such a noob.

If you havent done an oil change yet do one. The oil should be dark almost black if its got some miles on the oil. If theres coolant in it it will look like chocolate milk. Same for the coolant drain it if oil settles to the top or the bottom you know your mixing. If you havent changed the coolant before it will probably have alot of rust deposits in it causing all the coolant to be brown and straight up nasty.

Well i started her back up and shes smoking like a fire with wet leaves thrown on it. Im just hoping its from the wet cylinder test. Also I just changed the oil and oil filter. Coming out the oil looked black and all. If i kinda get it on my finger and let it run thin its kinda a dark chocolate brown so I'm hoping I'm coolant free. Here is a pic.

looks good to me it would be alot lighter like light chockolate milk in the pan if it was mixed. The smoke after a wet test is normal dont expect that to go away in just a few minutes drive it around for about an hour or so.

Most of the time, coolant will not push into oil, the opposite occurs. Path of least resistance and all - oil pressure is usually much higher than coolant system pressure.

Yeah he also said to check that too. Im going to do to coolant draining, flushing, and refilling tomorrow after work.
