Q: about t3/t4 turbo

ok, am running a t3/t4 turbo and i would like to change it to something else without changing my manifold and my down pipe what kind of turbo that will fit? by the way i have a 420a motor. i dont mind running a lil bigger turbo so please help me out.

you will have to stay with the T3 footprint, to match your manifold.

why are you wanting to go to a bigger turbo? How much boost are you running?
what AR is the turbo.. I run a T3/T4 turbo on my rides .63 on the hot and .50 cold

Anything with a T3 turbine housing should fit... that narrows down your choices just a little bit; the other main variable is the compressor size. What size do you currently have?

If what you have is working, why change?

Unless you're at the end of the compressor map on your particular turbo, going to something larger isn't going to make your car any faster....it might actually make it slower depending on how much lag it adds.

It kills me when people running 12 psi on a 50 trim, or 60-1 want a bigger turbo.

Yeah, if I had a 42r I'd have 6 wastegates to keep at at 10psi.
