i bet it is a xs power turbo. still at 100 thats a killer deal. since you are on ebay might aswell buy a mani and wastegate from there. thestreetsource.net is a good source for the mani. i have one from him and it is great. no real complaints. i got my turbo, wastgate, and bov for like 380 shipped. they have been on my car for almost 2 years and still work.

yea i cant beleive it myself. AT WORST, it doesn't work and ill rebuild it for 80 bucks and get it balanced 40 thats 220 for a good turbo. weird thing i was just about to close everything out and go to work, but i got a call they are closing early and i dont have to go in.

what kind of wastegate would be best for my application, ive always been leaned towards the internal wastegates, but this turbo is not setup for an internal. ima do some research on externals right now

Don't get your hopes WAY up...That turbo is sold "as is" has "minimal shaft play"...I would still be skeptical as to why he doesn't need it anymore.

I'm just speaking from experience..It seems like you overlook these things. There is usually a reason someone would sell that turbo so cheap. The first one I got, I picked up for 100, after 1 month..there she went. Seals we GONE.

yep at least u got to actually see the boost for a while, i have bought 4 so far, and resold all of em. all of them had a problem, either too much play, seal gone, bearing gone, broken fins on a wheel, something or a combo of all. this price was just too good to pass up though. even if its bad, I will open it up and get the parts I need without having to do a full rebuild, then get it balanced for a total of 140$, which to me seems pretty good for such a nice turbo, and its already polished and we all know thats good for at least 18 honda hps. right? because it reflects the light which means less resistance or something

and then there is the other side, the turbo is perfectly fine, pulled because the car was totaled or something, and I just picked up a t3/t4 for a 100$ shipped

www.conceptillusions.com is a good place to look for a mani. they well but the flange you need for the turbo and the wastegate and i use a 38mm tail wastgate with a 7 lbs spring and it works great.

Dang dude, If I were you, I would have just done it right this time and got a brand new one. Then you wouldn't have to worry about fixing this one right away or having to resell it to someone else to make some of my money you lost back.
