Thats awesome! Glad you enjoyed it and did good. My dad has a friend with an old school Porsche that does it and tries to get us to go, but with my car being auto it would suck a big one. I have a 350z though that I might think about trying it in, just for fun.

Not to take away from your "victories" but uh, the only BMW's you're "pwned" (Can we kill this word yet?) must've been driven by neophytes.

I'm pretty sure my times weren't too far off from the M3 that was running bone stock out there with me at my event.

There ya go!!!

I found out real quickly that BMWs (or all bmw owners) suck at autocross. I am serious, the only bmw that has even beat me was ones with huge ####ing slicks while ive got my shittyt stock tires on there. No surprise there...

You are absolutely correct. Those wins by SM BMWs at Nationals were flukes, even if said flukes have now repeated three times straight.

yeah i just went to an auto-x today, bmw's were on the top of the ranks. there were some evo's driven by retards that were just trying to look cool instead of actually run good times... 2 of them put okay times down, however there were quite a few that just spun out almost every run from pushing the car to hard and then just mashing the gas to compensate..

the "tire rack" BMW club cars were fast... guys new how to drive, and the top time of the day was an auto on falken azenis

Yea, BMW's all suck. Stupid idiot BMW drivers.

AS 2 11 Rick Orr .........BMW M3...... 48.842
SM 4 97 Kyle Mavis (N) Eagle Talon 48.124

OMG

Congradulations for getting a better time than an A stock car with a SM car?

That was my point, a well driven BMW in a stock nearly kept up with me in street mod. I should have beaten him by more according to my class, but he beat nearly everyone else in street mod. I placed 4th that day in SM , he came in 2nd in A-stock.

I was showing the other guy that bmw's are good.

Kyle -

People are not used to posters using themselves as examples in this manner. They are especially not used to it in silly kill-story slash event-result threads.

Why such a thread is running in a technical forum is beyond me. If someone were to mention the wonderful balance of an M3 or how its polar moment is so low for its total weight, I would very happy. When I finally got to try a BSP-level M3 at an event this past summer my eyes were opened. Why these cars are with us in SM and not bumped to SM2 is also beyond me. The idea that we should class cars by counting the seatbelts is incredibly silly, eh?

I'm just grateful that there is noone around here with a well built one in street mod. Most of my competition is simply wrx's and mustangs setup more for dragracing. Honestly my biggest competitoin locally are a few EJ20 powered 2.5rs's and a few srt4's. A set of good tires though on an m3 would probably take most events locally until I finish my suspension and step up to some real tires :sneaky:

Or if you had some awd drive too Kyle. Btw first time I have seen you on any other board than IndyStars.
