My eclipse is venting burnt oil through the pvc. it doesnt smoke at all through the exhaust. Could this be bad valve seals since it isnt smoking through the exhaust? its a 90 w/s16g stock fuel, all new exhaust, rewired fuel pump, no egr, no cat. Thanks

Ok bad news. I obviously have a hole in a piston becouse im getting a HORRIBLE amount of blowby. Its now venting exhaust through dipstick and through pvc.... Anyways ive never overheated the engine ever so maybe the head is still good? Cause i was gonna get a 2g lower end and i heard the 1g heads are better? Anyways in short, whats the best motor i can put back in it for less than 2500? thanks sorry for the long assed thread.

You will want to use a 1G 6-bolt bottom end, use the 1G head as well.

EASILY done under 2500. For that much you can put a nice 6 bolt bottom end in.

No problem. I dont know where the best place to get one in your area would be --- start at engine import companys.

The 1G 6bolt has stronger rods then the 2G. And doesn't have nearly as many reported occurences of "crank walk" which destroys the engine. Do a search if you want more info on that.

for 2500 you could probally get a rebuilt bottom end with forged internals or something depending on who does the work. Oh and btw is pcv not pvc. pvc is plastic pipe.

yeah pcv.. I'm actually a damn good mechanic i swapped a probe gt from an auto to manual by my self and done many clutches/flywheels. But this dsm is a whole another thing to learn about. What about the jdm cyclone? cause thats a pretty decent price- 1200-1500
