Ok I read some of my searches about getting an oil catch can for this line but I don't entirely understand it. Doesn't it lead directly to the intake manifold? Could the oil somehow leak down into the intercooler anyway? If for some reason I should route the pvc to a catch can, can I kill two birds with one stone and use only one catch can and route it back the the intake?

I guess I'll go with the two catch can system. I like the Husky catch cans since you can see how full it is but glass is sketchy. Scared it'll shatter in the engine or something. Why do some people route the pcv to the intake and cap the manifolf nipple? Won't that cause problems? I even see some just rerouting it back into the valve cover. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of relieving crankcase pressure then...

Mostly because they're misguided.....mostly. Remember, pressure relief is only half of the picture, swapping blow by/oil contaminates out for fresh air is the other half, that's why the valve on the passenger side is called BREATHER valve and the entire system is named crankcase VENTILATION system. Just to recap the thread for you in case if any mis-understanding.

Breather -> inline catch can -> intake pipe.
PCV -> 2nd inline catch can (optional) -> US Plastic heavy duty check valve -> intake manifold.

That is the setup I have. One each inline with the crankcase vent line and the pcv line. I have the one sitting on top of my tranny and have never been worried about it shattering. They don't seem like they'd shatter when you hold them. Not sure how to describe it, but I wouldn't worry about it.
