hey i read that a person made a custom pvc intake pipe. wouldnt that melt?? or somthing like that?

I've seen worse. Like the guy that uses coat hangar to hold the driveshaft up in his 82' Monte Carlo, or the guy that uses hockey pucks like suspension lift. :facepalm:

An 82 monte carlo has a one piece driveshaft. How does it have a coat hanger holding it up? There is nothing to hold.
... Off topic but both snorkel kits on my 4wheelers are made from pvc!. And they work magicallyI built this one from PVC a few years ago and it worked great until I replaced it with a 4" aluminum intake.

I just worked on a car that had the air intake down that far. The guy drove thru a rather large puddle and water logged his engine.
I believe its called Hydrofluoric Acid if I remember correctly. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Water logged is what happens to your skin when your in the pool too long. Hydrolocked or hydrostatic lock is what happens when a intake sucks in water...where are you allowed to work on cars??
