Okay so my Talon is pushing coolant and I'm confused on what to do. The first time I noticed the problem it was just a small but steady stream of white smoke, but then I noticed under moderate to full throttle the car was putting out clouds of white smoke. I Immediatley shut the car off. I then turned it on to move it back into the garage and noticed no smoke, so I let it run for about 5 min and then a steady stream of white smoke(did this 3 times in a row). So I assumed a headgasket failure. I took the cooling system cap off and started it up the next day and saw no bubbles so since I noticed before that it didn't push coolant until it was nice and warm I waited and waited and waited but this time no smoke at all (even revving to 3k-4k rpms). So I decided to take it out yesterday and run it a little hard to see what it does. This time a steady stream of white smoke at idle after warm, but no clouds while revving or full throttle bursts. So I did a compression test and they were all within 5 p.s.i of eachother. Could an intake gasket cause this? Or does anybody have ideas what this could be? I'm stumped and new to dsms and I'm not sure what to do at the moment. Sorry about the really long post and I hope I didn't bore you guys to death. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I forgot to mention it is a fresh rebuild with 10 - 15 miles max on it and probably 5-7 heat cycles. The only thing I could think is I never re-torqued my head, could that cause the problem I'm having. And is head re-torquing mandatory?
Thanks Guys
