Just the cams and springs. It was already rebuilt brand new, so it has new seals, seats and valves and rockers in it. Also, he gave me some 3g revised lifters for 50 bucks. I got all that for 250. :thumb:

So just got an email from Vic from wiseco and I quote

"With a coated piston .0045" would be good and for non-coated .005" is about ideal. You could tighten these numbers up by .0005" if you went for 500 miles without any hard passes on it."

Does that sound about right? When he says coated, im guessing he means the skirts?

What happens to the block if the machinist sets the clearance too tight? Becuase i dropped it off and he said most people run a 2 to 3 thousands and Vic from Wiseco said 4-5. So what is up?

James :laser::talon:

Run what Wiseco says to. They reccomend a certain clearance based on how the pistons expand while heating up. If the clearance is set to tight, when the pistons expand it will put too much stress on the cylinder walls and might cause damage like a crack in the cylinder wall.

You know lots of people have a very well running setup with ARP headstuds and a stock headgasket right?

Well, i know, but it was a combo deal at the time, and cometic is a good brand, and good HG. Thats why i got a MLHG.
