Punsishment Racing Radiator Colling Issues

Because I have a spare ready to go on. Also changing to arp studs. I also have a masive oil leak that may or may not be cOMGing from the head gasket. I am Re-gasketing the entire engine this month.

I wanted to check in on this thread, I have been searching/reading for the past couple hours on overheating and PR's package deal. $270 for a aluminum radiator/fans/shroud is a really good deal but not so much if it won't cool properly or has parts that need fixed constantly.

My wideband connector got caught in my driver side fan today and the white plastic fan is no more. I think some sort of melting happened along the way as well because the blades are all melted to poo.
I have the VRSF and water temp gauge installed, and my hot side/O2/FP manifold have all been ceramic coated. I live in North Florida so needless to say it's freaking hot, on normal cruise with a/c temps are between 210-220. I have a good thermostat, rad cap, and the system has been flushed, burped and is 50/50 (thinking of going to 70/30 maybe).

So with my stock fan melted should I just replace that fan with on 12" or maybe the HP 9" Spal? Space is tight on the driver side. I am not so sure about the PR package as I have read a ton of posts that have not said good things, in fact they almost all say FAIL (sorry PR don't mean to knock you guys). Is the general consensus that the aluminum radiators are better but the fans are where the real differences are? What about the shrouds that come with a lot of the radiators, are they worth the money?

Didn't mean to jack the thread it just seemed like a lot of my questions, comments, complaints fit in this thread.

Well due to some other mainance issues and some mods. I am unsure if this problem has been resolved one day next week I take it to work and see if it is fixed.

I think my problem was a lose down pipe that was shooting the exhaust on to the radiator.

One thing I recomend is to ditch the crappy conectors on the PR kit they seem to melt really easy. The fans are a bit weak. Right now I have one PR fan and one I picked up from advanced auto. The exhaust may be why I melted the frist fan not really sure. I drove the car for the first time in almost two months today around town and short highway stints and have not over heated it. But my issue was with the a/c on and mostly on the highway or heavy stop and go trafic after a 15-20 min highway run. Will post an update later this week.

Well its offical the radiator must be the problem. I only over heat when the a/c is on. I can not drive a car here in louisiana with out a/c. Even after a new head new thermostat. it still over heats with the a/c on. Te flow through the core must suck.
