Punishment FMIC kit. Is there a nipple on J-pipe for MBC?

For those running stock turbos it looks like you have to tap for a nipple on the j-pipe? Is the j-pipe thick enough to accept being threaded into? Just wondering, I was wondering what some people have done in the past, and if a nipple from like ACE hardware would work.

There is no nipple on the j-pipe. I used a 1/4" NPT barbed port on my compressor housing of the 16g instead of trying to work with the curved surface of the j-pipe.

I was able to do this in the car by stuffing a rag into the compressor outlet before drilling and tapping and then using compressed air and a shop vac to clean out the metal shavings.

Took about an hour total.

I used a 1/8 NPT barbed fitting. Just drill a hole into the J-pipe and tap it with a 1/8 NPT tap. Then, mix up some JB weld and cover the threads of the fitting. Screw it in place let the JB weld set up. Voila!! You're done!!!

I just got a nipple from home depot and had it welded by a friend.
