I pulled the ultimate newbie move and I knocked my boost gauge off the table in my garage and shattered it while I was going to put it in the pillar pod I have a mbc and was working on moving it to where its supposed to be before I broke the gauge any way to run just stock boost with the mbc or with out it I dont have the boost control sylinoid? I need to drive it until I get a new gauge..

Just turn the boost controller all the way down until you can get a new gauge or just stay off the boost for now. No big deal.

Worst case scenario get something like a cheap tire pressure gauge (dial type, not one with pop-out scale) and use said gauge to make sure boost is not going up high. Not going to get very accurate, so would still need to re-adjust the MBC to lower/lowest setting. MBC should have markings showing what way is "up" and what way is "down".

Sorry, I didn't literally mean to tighten the knob on the boost controller when I said to turn it down but I'm sure you knew that and are able to interpret the plus and minus symbols. Yes, more spring tension = more boost.

Or just run a vacuum line directly to your internal wastegate. Problem solved.

BAM!

Forget the boost controller all together. You dont have ANY kind of supporting mods to even support it. Theres really no reason to even install it. Hook a vacuum line from the compressor side to the wastegate directly. THEN once you get some supporting mods install the MBC.

So I will run my line from the nipple on my fmic to the waste gate. what supporting mods would i need for the mbc to matter it was on the car when i got it i was just moving it from the inside of the cab to the engine compartment.

I agree with the above said. But at the same time, can't you just use the gauge with the glass removed? Its not a fully sealed unit (at least none I've ever owned) so the gauge should still work without the glass until you get a replacement.

Just another $.02
