Ok guys, i need everyone's opinions here. I recently found my turbo to be destroyed in more then one way, so it looks like its time to upgrade maybe.

I'm was runing an E3B16G, with mods to deffinately support bigger.

-rewired 255
-650's
-FMIC
-Evo3 Manifold and 02 housing, 3" from there back
-Areomotive AFPR
-Dejon Intake Pipe
-ACT 2600

Probably more but right now i dont have them all in my head, but the point is the support is there.

So here's my question, do i just spend the $500 and get another 16g, or upgrade to the PTE GT32E. I really only want a car that will be driven on the street, with occasional strip use, just the get some times. Before the detonation, i was making 211awhp at 13psi due to high knock counts. I'd love to see 300-325, is the b16g really capable of this, or is it stretching the limits?

any help would be greatly appreciated, i hate having to make decisions like this...so i need everyone's input. Thanks a lot:thumb:

300whp gets old. I was in your boat and I thought 300-350whp would be good. After driving my own thats not finished and my brothers that layed down 300whp I find it not to thrilling. I would go with something bigger so you can make between 350-400whp and if you build your motor you can go further.

I went from Big 16G to PTE GT32E, and it was a big difference in power improvement.
I got 46lbs/min at 19psi from the GT32E. I have a 2.3L stroker though.

The airflow is measured using unhacked 2G MAS without any piggyback that muck with the airflow reading..

The GT32 is definitely the better turbo if you can afford it. Doubly so if you can get a divided manifold made for the divided turbine housing.

Or methanol. You can do 400whp on meth injection. A local did 380whp on meth injection on only 23 psi on an Evo III, and it looked like he had a bit more room for timing advance. I'm sure at 26 psi it would have come close to the 400whp mark.

That's what I'm shooting for by the end of this year. I've got an Evo III sitting on a shelf. I'm going to build a meth injection kit this summer and hopefully get some cams by the end of the year. My eventual goal for sometime early next year is to hit an 11.4 in the quarter on pump/meth, and a 120mph trap. Fast enough to get kicked out of the track for no cage (technically) although I don't think the local track will kick me out.
