well my bad for that 1 psi 94_TSI but at 17yrs old im pretty sure their will be road race almost everyday but thanks for clean up ill admit i didnt type the words in the proper order i had it in my mind haha but really busting my balls for the 14 psi instead of me putting 15psi and i was saying about 17psi because im pretty sure when he feels 15psi he's going to want more guarantee LOL and i was saying for personal experience about fuel cuts, and the 15psi on a 14b my SMIC was really hot after 6 runs at the track

Thank you Nathan LOL

First: Yes, more boost generally equals your power. However there are a few things you should do before just raising the boost. Follow the upgrade paths listed here, Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners and it will save you a lot of heartache and money along the way. Start by opening up the intake and exhaust, getting an accurat boost gauge, a MBC, a larger fuel pump, and a better BOV (since you have a plastic 2g one). Then feel free to raise the boost to 14-15 psi and enjoy.

Second: Let me try to clear up a few missconceptions in this thread. A FMIC is a good thing to have, especially the more boost you are running. That being said, you can get by with the stock intercooler, just don't expect to be making back to back passes as it will become heatsoaked and decrease your performance and can cause knock (which is bad). You can use it, just give it time to cool down.

I always recommend the OEM Mitsubishi composate head gasket unless you are going to pull the engine and have the block and head resurfaced. MLS head gaskets require a very fine surface to seal properly. If you are not going to do that then stick with the stock head gasket and use ARP studs. This is good for most street/strip DSM builds.

If you already have 550 injectors do you have a logger or anything to tune with? I know you mentioned something about a SAFC, do you already one? If you do then you are already well on your way to running more then 15 psi. Just take your time and boost responsibly. Once you start messing with fuel trims a wideband o2 sensor and a logger are highly recommended to prevent damaging your engine. Please don't skimp in this area, it will just cost more in the long run.

That's all I've got so far. Hope this helps!

yes i do have the SAFC
so basically all i would need for now is a wideband and maybe a FMIC and i would be good to go past 15psi?? and i already have the greddy type s BOV

yes FMIC unless you aint going to be on it pedal alot i assume you will because you want to turn up the boost and like others said a wideband wouldn't hurt either

FMIC
Wideband

you good to go

ask the previous owner what HG it has ,maybe he used a cheap one never know but it aint something to worry about right now (hopefully)

just use 9!'clipseDOHC link if you ever want to know how to upgrade in the right path

A wideband and a logger would be required (IMO). Once you can look at your wb and make sure you're not lean and look at your logger and see how how much injector you have left, then you can start to raise the boost more. Also you are going to need to do boost leak tests. They are always important but become even more important at higher boost levels.

A FMIC can wait, just don't do back to back pulls, give your SMIC a chance to cool down. A FMIC is nice to have but isn't nearly as important as the wb and logger so budget your money accordingly.

so basically my goal should be wideband and a tune?

Never mind. I guess you edited your post, but you were talking about street racing..talking about street racing isnt allowed

ohh ok :) i figured so i just deleted it LOL
