Projector Headlights

Hi I have a 97 RS and when I bought it about a month ago i noticed it had H3 and H1 bulbs along with projector headlights, long story short THEY SUCK I was wondering if there are any better quality projectors out there that would put out a lot of light or is it just better to go back to stock headlights?

The projectors it has in right now look like these cheap ebay ones

There are many people that have retrofitted their ebay projector headlights with hids and it has worked out well for them. Im sure a few searches should bring up some old threads. I may do this down the road with my 2g but for now i keep it mostly stock appearing.

I already have HID's in em and i still feel like they suck, i had stock headlamps in a chrysler concorde with same color HID's and they put out more light, what im basically trying to figure out is if there are any other out there that either use 9006/9005 bulbs and put out a substantial amount of light, or do they all just suck and i should just get me a set of OEM headlamps

I have Angel eye headlights, I feel they are amazing for "looks" purposes, but the stockers whoop there ass in terms of visibility.

Me too. H3 bulbs even with the HID kit still sucks. I deal with it because I work in the city and live in the well lit burbs. Most if not all ebay lights are H type bulbs. If you want better light go OEM since you got a 2gb. The OEM 2gb lights look great!

I think i'll definitely be going to get stockers back, also how hard is it to convert the H3/H1 wiring back to 9006/9005?

One more question i have a really nasty dent(well i cant really call it a dent it's much bigger than that) see picture below....should i just replace that fender and take the dent out of the door and call it a day or can both be salvaged? (again this was made by previous owner, when i got it you couldn't open the door from the outside and now I can, the car ran like shit now it runs great!)

Get some stock headlights. New door, new fender call it a day.

There should be a harness that comes out of the back of the headlight with 3 wires.
Green- is power for low beam
Red- is power for hi-beam
Black- is your ground wire. (1 wire grounds both lights)
If its all hacked up then I can tell you what wires to be spliced together. Should mostly likely be plug and play.
As for the body, just get a used set from any 95-99 DSM and trash those junk pieces. Easy enough to find replacements and bolt them on rather then having a body shop hold your car for sometime and overcharge you...

alright cool, will post pictures of wiring later as i'm a lil busy, as for the fender and door i guess i'll just replace em then, should i just look at the junk yard and try to find one the same color as mine?

If you are getting ebay headlights please get the black housing ones, the chrome one look like crap but it is tour car

The stock 2gb headlights are the black housing ones. A body shop could pull the dent and possibly fill in the rest depending on how bad it is damaged. Does it open/close properly? Any other problems with it besides what we can see?

the fender is pretty bad and i'm going to replace it, the door I rigged to the point that it could be straight and line up with the door jam so it could close, so basically every time I opened the door it would drop a couple inches and I would have to sort of lift a little bit to make it close.

They are exactly the same as the ebay lights. Still take the "H" style lights....
Replace the fender first and check the clearance of the door with a straight fender and go from there..

Oh yea I just looked at em'....if I can find it everything at my local junkyard tomorrow then i'll just get everything

Never used them just knew that they were vender on here or well used to be.
