Project 9's NO Compromosie Build Update!!!

Second job started up and car money is back so this month I should be picking up a lot of the things that have been holding up big progress since the motor has been in. For all the haters on the front bumper I"m getting rid of it and going with just a regular stock unit with maybe just holes for air in the front. Not because I didn't like the front but because I"m not going side exit exhaust anymore.

Quick insight for anyone doing a big build which I hope will help there be less big part outs. Before getting into a huge build that involves long periods of waiting in between stuff big saving and work that YOU will have to do mentally prepare yourself for days or even weeks where you will not want your car. There will be sooooo many times that you go I could sell this shit and get that. That being a bike or another dsm that's already done just not as intense a house whatever there will always be something else that seems "easier". If you don't prepare yourself for those days or weeks you will never finish a project car. I have old guys I work with that have spent 5 years building their dream cars and they say their not done yet. If you build it right and take your time and don't look at the car as a quick means to make money and get something else but like a dog that shits on your rug(you love it to death but sometime you just want to shoot it) you won't end up with a BIG PART OUT thread or classified ad. Take this as no more than my .02 on the matter but I hope it helps.

Love your build man its gonna be fast as hell that's for sure . Just one thing that disappointed me was that you ditched the holset I wanted to see what it did when pushed to the limit I'm sure the Hx52 can do some damage. Can't wait to see this thing running!

Thanks for all the kind words and support. I have a two week vacation coming up starting October 10th too so I will have a lot of time to mess around with stuff so I"m pretty excited to see what I can get done.

I couldn't agree more with what you said, I know with my current AWD, I have gotten so close to wanting to sell it and say I'll just start over later. I can't wait to see this thing done.

I can relate to this so much. My GST has been sitting for the better part of about 4 months or more. I bought it, drove it like I stole it for about a month, and then she let me down I have been down the same road back and forth as to rebuild it or just sale it/ part it out. EVERY time I think of selling it I stop and think back to how long I waited to be able to own one and ALL the fun I had driving it and listening to the sound of the BOV. I couldn't keep a smile off my face ESPECIALLY after I changed it out to my Greddy Type S. Don't give up on it and sale out. Like you said, you'll NEVER complete one that way and reach your goal. Car looks sweet with the new bumper! Keep us posted

I hate to say it but I've been down this road before not just with my dsm. If you don't want the headache I tell people to keep things simple. Regardless, I say keep on boosting man!

Yeah I don't think I could even justify selling this car. I really am thinking about buying another dsm as a dd or dedicated street dsm and make this all track car. I want another 90-91 bad they look so much better than the 1gb's in my opinion. I even though about buying a junker 90 and converting the body to a 1ga but its not worth the trouble and its a slick 92 no point messing it up.
