I have been absent because of too much stuff going on. We are making progress on the Talon and the garage redo. We lost our great dane last week to a nervous system disorder that has no definite cause but is a death sentence when diagnosed. Here are the carhole and car pics.

My son and I are putting it together for a driver for him. He eventually wants to build a higher compression engine with different cams and other performance modifications. At the moment he is wanting to stay NA since the car obviously is not a stock turbo set up. Of course he will have the requisite pounding stereo system every sixteen year old wants in their vehicle. Once we complete the body work we will paint it black and poilish the heck out of it.

Is it me or is that engine crooked? :p

You painting it yourself?

This is his fourth car, possibly to be his first to be licensed in his name. As for the turbo, we may be getting Shadow98 down from Columbia to advise us. We do all our own work except machining and transmission work. We will paint the car ourselves and it should look killer when it is done. The engine is sitting in there correctly as far as we can tell. The mounts on it make it so if it fits them, it has to be in place correctly. Thanks for the comments you all, Chip.

You want to paint mine while you're at it? Lol... You know, i just found out there is another 420A turbo DSM here in Columbia. He has a built motor, but is too retarded to figure out how to boost past 5psi. :beatentodeath: Not only that, but he didn't even upgrade his fuel pump. WTF We will be" comparing" how his "tuned" 5psi does against my 7psi this week or next week. :sneaky:

I felt like using the smilies...

The smiles are cute, but I think the dead horse is hilarious. He installed a turbo without upgrading the fuel pump? What a genius. Maybe you can tach him a few things.

Yeah, I tried to talk some sense into him, but he doesn't listen. Oh well, he'll just have to learn that his motor isn't bullet proof. He is going to lean out and then BANG! I going to laugh so hard when he starts to wonder whats going on. By the way, check out midmosr.com

Are you going to build a paint booth or do you have access to a shop for free? How much time and money do you think you'll end up spending on the paint job in the end?

Thanks man, I will check out the site. I will let you know when I get caught up enough to paint another vehicle. I have just about finished assembling my work area/paint booth. These engines might be tough, but I can't fathom taking the abuse a turbo on a non turbo car can do to an engine.

I am building a work area/paint booth. We will have probably 800.00 in the paint. It is all DuPont products. I am hopefully going to paint it this week. I took Wednesday and Thursday off to work on it. We already have about 40 hours in the car just fitting the fenders and front/rear fascias.

Are you going to build the booth inside your garage or outside. If you wouldn't mind takeing some pics of it and make up a supply list/cost for it. I'm going to need to build one this summer to paint a vette. :D

Please tell me that those wheels are coming off of that car. Please

They are eventually. He bought them for the right price when he bought the car. He is going to eventually buy some lighter wheels and tires. Those are heavy as all get.

Nice garage

Thanks for the compliment. It is a pigsty now. I have started filling it up with more stuff than I should have. My Triumph GT6 gonna be a pro street hotrod project and my 34 Chevy 3 window coupe mold fill up one bay. The Buick, TV/library is filling another bay. The work area is supposed to be open at all times but CJ's 85 Z28 is sitting in there awaiting body and paint work now. The Talon is going to be finished up to nice driver status and that will be it until he finds a four cylinder truck to drive and we con Shadow98 into hooking us up with his turbo supplier. Getting a turbo on the CJ's car is a long way off though. Too much other stuff to do first. I think lighter wheel/tire combination will help acceleration more than a turbo right away and suit his budget better.

Could I see some more pictures of your car painted? Built my car very similiar, just dont know which color I'm being drawn into. Like the black, but I also like my factory color.
