Hey guys i just bought a 97 gsx, it has almost no rust and it was already taken care off : ).

its my first 4g63

Also English is not my first language so im sorry if my problem is not clear ;(

It has the CE , SRS , ABS lights on : (

It was automatic and then it was swaped to manual (i think he used a 96 tranny )
it was converted to fwd when it was auto (some guy told him to do that so he could do burnouts :ohdamn:) , so he didnt bother getting the manual transfer case and t he rear dif for manual trans.

I think the ABS light is on becuase he didnt get the abs front cv axles.
How can i check wich ones i have?

I already bought a 96 transfer case a rear dif with lsd, and the rear axles ( for lsd with abs), what else do i need to make the awd work?

The srs light i think its on becuase the previous owner changed the steering wheel for a new one and he didnt bother conecting the air bag again , but could it be the srs ecu that is damaged?

And the CEL the guy told me its one since he replaced the stock exhaust , but i when i looked under the car it looked liek the original ( at leats the diameter) line it only has a test pipe and a ricer can atached to the end haha, you guys think its posible that the CEL could be some emission stuff?

i know bumping is bad but i still have the cel problem :/ idk how to ground the pin and i dont wanna #### it haha :p

also im having problems with my idel rpms they drop arround 100-200 :/
i tryed adjusting the BISS it works for a while and then it goes down again , ive been thinking on "rebuilding" the throttle body , but im not sure if autozone has a rebuild kit or atleats the biss O ring , ( autozone is the only car store where i live)

and also found some oil in my turbo? its weird i checked for shaft play and it doesnt has anny :/ and the last owner did a "service" to the turbo (t25), i also found some on my intake pipe but could it be the oil form the head that reciruclates? since i dont have an oil catch can OMG

And lastly i feel my brakes too "soft" if that makes sence it takes a while to stop the car from relative low speeds -60 mph , i found 1 hose that was not tight so i did a whole sistem flush and refilled it with dot 4 fluid and bleeded , it improved a little , could it be the rubber hoses that are old causing this?
My tyres are brand new they only have 3 weeks

Have you tested your ISC?

The throttle body might require rebuilding though. You'd want to do a boost leak test to see if it's leaking from anywhere (shaft seals, BISS o-ring, or ISC o-ring).

I'd guess the oil in the turbo is from blow by, which would come through the line from the head to the intake pipe. You might want to go get a Husky air filter (search around on here for more info) as that could be a cheap way to see how much oil is being pushed through that line.
