This is my problem I've chipped a 1g computer with a 29c256 loaded with the stock e931 bin. The car seems to run fine except when getting in the higher rpm's between 50%-100% throttle the car seems to buckle severly almost like the igniton is missing. Feels like I'm letting off the throttle then hitting it again over and over again. Has anyone else had this problem if so how'd you fix it?
Thanks In advance!!!

Virtually all the PROM burners on the planet verify the write after burning. That said, there's no way the 68HC11 core topology would even run if one of the PROM pins was bent. So, if all the legs are straight, it could not be causing a problem. If this wasn't true, your car wouldn't start. It's stock code, so then it should run like...stock.

Your symptoms sound like classic fuel-cut to me, having nothing to do with an electrically inert 28-pin DIP socket. It's October and getting colder out...

Do you know for sure that your ECU is good? May want to try another one to see. I've had the same thing happen from a bad ECU. The car would run, but with more then probably 50% throttle it would feel like it hit fuel cut at around 4,500-5,500RPMs. If you have a datalogger that can sometimes help you tell if your ECU is the problem. When I would have my car off with just the ignition on and I watched my datalogger, all of the values that it still can log with the car off would go up and down a little bit instead of staying steady like they should.

That's usually caused by leakage damage to the ADC reference voltage going into the CPU.

That's right next to the three capacitors that tend to start leaking isn't it? Just curious since that's what happened with mine although it started before I could even see any leaks from the capacitors. It wasn't much longer after though that you could finally see the leaks. Thanks for a specific answers as usual Steve. :thumb:

I'm acutally running a 2g Mas and I believe running around 18lbs on 9:1 wiseco's then I turned it down to around 15lbs. I haven't tried the chip since the boost was cranked down.
