This weekend I replaced my valve cover gasket because I noticed oil was comming out of it, not bad, but enough to know that it needed replaced. So I replaced it and got everything back together and now it's like my car's misfireing!! I'm thinking it's the coilpack/distributor, but not sure... on the very left plug it looks kind of brown-ish in the plug, and on the other's it's all shiny and silver. Could the brownish be rust and be causing that plug wire to not do it's just delivering the spark and making it run on 3 cylinders? It only runs like crap when I get up around 2500rpm's, I'm thinking it's shaking the wires so it's causing the connection not to be tight. I did replace my spark plugs too, but it was doing this when I had the old plugs in too. I drove my car to work this morning and it drove fine, just didn't go over 2500rpm's...

I'm thinking I'm going to have to replace the spark plug wires.

anyone know what this could be!?!?!?!

You may have ripped the spark plug conductor away from the filament inside of of your plug wire boot when removing them. Might be time for new wires and plugs.

LOL, yes, that did happen, but i fixed it.... hopefully new wires will fix it!! im gonna check on ebay compared to autozone & advanced auto prices :D

Thats good.

That happed top the #4 wire one mine. I was pulling like hell and *POP* it came off. I was like finially, until I realised half of the shaft was still in the hole.

Need help with my eclipse, i checked the
spark plugs and #'s 2&4 where full of oil.
does my gasket need to be replace or what
could this problem be?

Swap out your V.C gasket if this doesnt do the trick hopefully it will solve it cause if not you probably got worn piston rings and or bad valve seals :toobad:
You should start a new thread youll get more responses hope its just The V.C.G :talon:
